Regional Conference 2018

Early Registration is now closed for the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Conference and AGM, Saturday 3rd November 2018. You can still attend Conference and register on arrival. We would ask for cash or cheque payments only and you will be asked for proof of membership.

This year Regional Conference will be held at St Mary’s Church and Conference Centre on Bramhall Lane in Sheffield. This is an ideal opportunity for members from around our region to take part in lively policy debate, listen to passionate speakers, share in success and be inspired.

This year we will feature two keynote speakers, including the Chief Executive Officer of Bradford District Age UK, the launch of our “A Fair Deal for Yorkshire” Campaign, two policy debates and four training sessions. There will be a packed exhibition and space for local parties and groups to showcase their campaigns. If you would like to book a stall for conference please contact team@yorkshirehumberlibdems.org.uk for a booking form.

This year the Regional Executive asked for nominations for two new awards, the Outstanding Councillor of the Year Award and the Campaign of the Year Award. Nominations are now closed and the winners will be announced at Regional Conference along with the winners of our two existing awards, the Penhaligon Award and the President’s Award. Thank you to all those who made a nomination,

Nominations are now open for places on the Regional Executive for 2019 and will close at 4pm on the day of Conference, that is Saturday 3rd November 2018. If you want to discuss being a member of the Regional Executive then please feel free to get in touch via team@yorkshirehumber.libdems.org.uk. You can find out more about being a member of the Regional Executive, role descriptions and nomination forms here.

Finally, we are asking members to put forward motions for debate. Never put forward a motion for debate before? Do not panic! Here is our guide to speaking at Regional Conference. The deadline for motions is 5pm on Saturday 22nd September.
